pre-birthday present

No, no "real" birthday pictures yet - those are still on our film camera, waiting to be developed - but here's a pre-birthday picture of you. Mama had been holding onto your play cube for over a month, and just couldn't wait to give it to you! So we pulled it out of the box the night before your first birthday and let you play with it. You loved it! Yay!

I think your favorite part is the bead maze on top. You also like shaking the whole cube, haha. I'm sure the people in the apartment below us appreciate that.

after moving

Whew, it's been a long two or three weeks hasn't it? After a long weekend in Brunswick visiting Nini and Pawpaw, we moved into our NEW home! We've been there two weeks now and are loving it. I think you really know it's home now.

This picture of you and me was taken at our neighbors' (Eial and Henrika and their three children) by a visiting friend of theirs. We went over there for tea last weekend and you had lots of fun playing. Getting along with the neighbors is only one perk of our new home; we also get to go for walks along pretty, winding streets, we're a few blocks away from our grocery store (and coffee shop, and restaurants!), and we feel very safe here.

On another note, happy first birthday!! I'll be posting again with some first birthday celebration pictures. We can't wait until our little family party tonight!
