feeding daddy salad
Here's a video of you this past weekend feeding your dada salad. Or, you were feeding him salad before I started filming ... you're such a schmooze for the camera!
this morning, and crawling

After oatmeal (for me, and a little for you) and bottle (for you), we settled in the living room for some floor time ... and crawling practice! You're so close! Not that we're rushing you - it's much easier to have a baby that stays put! But it's so fun to watch your skills develop. Right now your crawling progress has stalled in this position:
hands down and ready
one knee on the floor and ready
and one stubborn leg sticking out in front!
You're revving up and look ready to move, if only that leg would behave itself! Don't worry cutie, it'll come in time. And then we'll be chasing you everywhere.

morning time

This is you, just layin' on the bed this morning with dada. I was taking your picture and you were trying to grab the camera cord. You love grabbing things!
We actually don't do much lying around in the morning, because there's so much to do! After you wake up around 6am, momma gives you a BIG hug and we cuddle a little. Then you get to play in your crib for awhile while momma eats breakfast and makes your bottle. Then it's ba-ba time! After you eat, we change into our school clothes (cloth diaper and all!) and go wake up dada.
Momma and dada then rush around for 45 minutes, dressing, packing lunches, getting your diaper bag ready, and any number of other last minute things before we all get in the car together and head to school!
So morning time can be stressful and hectic. Luckily for all of us, every once in awhile we get to lay around on the bed and try to grab stuff.

Back in time

mama & baby
recording . . . now!
So, baby Isaiah, it's taken mama and dada exactly 8 months and 3 days to begin this project, which has been swimming around in their minds (at least, in mama's mind) for . . . 8 months and 3 days. Since you were born, that is, on August 20, 2007. We want a way to remember and celebrate you, exactly as you are, day by day. A place to post pictures, videos, adventures, surprises, new skills, special moments, and everything else. It will be your baby book, twenty-first century style. Both mama and dada will write in it (and I'm sure you'll be able to tell which posts are by whom pretty easily!). We'll invite your friends and relatives to watch you grow, and one day you'll be able to read it yourself!
Welcome to the blogosphere, Isaiah. We love you!
